The project- The Lunchbox, of redesigning tableware/housewares holds a personal connection to my very own struggles with having a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet. I realized that for me, the design wasn't all about aesthetics anymore, but more about how the systems & design function and it's impact & need on humans. This project really taught me to put people at the center of everything.
At my graduate school in the Industrial Design program in San Francisco, I was naturally drawn to learn more about the human experience of design. How designing a mere lunchbox could change and create a whole new experience for a person trying to eat healthier made me start thinking about what impacts I could make on society through my creative expression. I began to immerse myself in research to not just design a product or a system but a whole experience in itself to change lives.
